Wish to improve your skill? This table by Stiga is the best you can get!
Features of Stiga Master Series ST3100
The Stiga Master Series ST3100 comes with almost all the features that other Ping Pong tables of this range come with, but better. It is a performance table that comes with an integrated ball storage apron that can hold a total of 24 balls. The table features a ¾” thick table-top and also comes with a net and post set. It is a pretty sturdy table that can take a moderate amount of force during matches. It has been rated brilliantly by the buyers, and so far, we also love it pretty much.
As mentioned above, the Stiga Master Series ST3100 comes with a ¾” thick table-top that provides a moderate and consistent bounce. To keep the professional-like look pristine the table has a durable silk-screened striping. The playing surface is smooth and fine. It is also leveled well and gives a feel of a professional match.
The Stiga Master Series ST3100 features 3” casters, larger than most of the tables that come in this range, making it really easy to roll away as per needs. My son is little and tries to imitate me whenever I perform any activity that requires a lot of strength. He tried to give a hand as I started to roll the table to the other room. It was pretty easy for him as well to move the table from one place to another. This pretty much speaks for the portability of the Stiga Master Series ST3100.
One of the best features of the Stiga Master Series ST3100 is its well-engineered undercarriage. It locks away properly, providing a sturdy playing surface after being assembled. The table also features 2” thick stabilizing legs that support the whole structure well. Once the legs are down and wheels are locked, you get a sturdy, movement-resisting playing surface.
One of the adversities of Ping Pong is the fact that it requires at least 2 people for a game to be played. But again, modern technological advancements have also brought a solution to this. Some Ping Pong tables like this one by Stiga come with a playback mode with which you can fold one half of the table to bring it to a playback position. With this, you can play all alone, without an opponent. You might not get a complete gaming experience, but you sure can play for fun or practice your skills.
Table and Ball Storage
Another amazing feature of the Stiga Master Series ST3100 is its storage. You can fold and store it away anywhere you wish as it ends up getting to 60″ x 30″ x 62″. Also, the ball-storage that it comes with makes it even more desirable.
Like any other Stiga products, the STIGA Master Series ST3100 also comes at an affordable price. You would hardly have to spend some $300-$500 for this and get a professional-like gaming experience with it. What’s better than an awesome Ping Pong table at a reasonable price?
The STIGA Master Series ST3100 is one of the best Ping Pong tables we have landed our hands-on. We have enjoyed playing with it and so far, we haven’t really seen any damage to it. The only problem that we got with it is the assembly. It took a long time for us to figure out how to get it into shape. Make sure you fit all the screws and stuff tight enough, or else you would end up getting a really bad Ping Pong experience. Jotted below are some of the reviews about the STIGA Master Series ST3100 that we have gathered from various websites selling it.
“I was kind of skeptical after reading some of the reviews because people are complaining about how cheap quality this ping pong table is. Maybe compared to a $4,000 joola table, but even then this table is quality. The box wouldn’t fit in my van by 1 inch so I had to unbox it right there in front of the store and was extremely surprised to see the number of parts. Needless to say, I was completely overwhelmed. Got it home and got right to work. The Direction manual was very thorough and very easy to read. All of the holes and guidelines were matched up perfectly. Once I finally got this thing assembled it was perfectly level and lined up exact. I did the entire thing by myself including lifting the two sides to mount. If you don’t have a drill or a socket wrench set you’re going to be there for a while. It took me just under 6 hours. But I was also drinking. And the second half goes by a lot faster because you basically have to do everything twice for each board.”
“We bought the 3100 table a week ago. I assembled the table by myself except for mounting the table-tops to the base. My son and son-in-law came over this morning for the final assembly. This step took us about a half-hour. My self-assembly took about 4 hours. (Taking my time.) I would like to say thank you to the Manufacturer for a quality table and for the tremendous quality control that was put into this table. Being a machinist for 40 plus years, I appreciate things being exact. Not a hole out of place and everything needed was in the box, in perfect condition. Not used to that, so thanks again. Definitely recommend.”
Considering the assembly part as a one-time thing, we’d say that the Stiga Master Series ST3100 could be ‘the table’ for you. It is brilliant when comes to performance. Of course, you cannot expect it to perform as good as a $4000 Ping Pong table, but it does justice to what it claims. We would happily recommend this table if you are into an entry-level part of your Ping Pong career.
